Description
Since its establishment in 1983 as one of Ireland’s first organic farms, Ballybrado became a centre point for a movement that was critical of the unsustainable way in which food was being produced, its effect on our environment and our health.
Today the team sustainability has become an important parameter for think tanks around the world who asses the long-term effects of human activity: how we treat our global resources, how we deal with climate change and even how we develop sustainable market economies.
After decades of organic farming at Ballybrado the place has become a haven for wildlife and a splendid example for living and working in harmony with nature, in line with the philosophy “Think global, act local”.
