Irish cheddar with the lovely intense sweet – tart flavour of sundried tomatoes with woody pine like undertones imparted from the rosemary and finished with piquant black pepper.
Eamonn Lonergan is a true artisan, displaying a rare and wonderful passion for cheese-making. His cheese is carefully handcrafted from full cream cow’s milk produced from the Lonergan farm’s own pedigree Friesian herd. Knockanore’s simple, subtle flavour, and rich creamy texture offers a real taste of the country. It comes flavoured with spices and herbs such as black pepper and chives or oakwood smoked. We’ve had the pleasure of Eamonn demonstrating his cheese making instore, displaying a passion for food and its provenance that is nothing short of inspiring.
